I always strive to be a creative wedding photographer, and find ways to make small venues become all about the people in it instead. So saying that- a month ago, I got to attend and photograph a wonderful Sikh wedding, taking place in Greenwich, London. The wedding ceremony itself was held at Gurdwara Sahib Woolwich, which we followed up with portraits in Greenwich Park. Although we started out with sunny weather, with London being London, it was raining within 30 minutes of getting there. The positive? Rain on your wedding day means luck, so you guys are in for the long haul! We then moved over to Taste of Taj, in Blackheath Village, for a very cosy and family oriented reception.
Between the different parts of the wedding, I was lucky enough to spend 3 days straight with this wonderful couple. Seriously guys, you have the most wonderful and welcoming family!! (Also, take note, future clients- bribing the photographer with awesome cupcakes is always advisable).
But first of all- check out this girl’s henna!!! (I seem to have a bit of a love affair with henna… too… much… awesomeness)
